What to do?
Aovid exposure to latex products such as elastic bandages, tourniques, latex gloves, balloons, rubber insoles of shoes, latex mattresses, and catheters.
Avoid food items such as kiwi, chestnuts, peaches, melon, and banana as there is a chance of increased sensitivity if you are allergic to latex.
Allergy skin-tests (NAL skin-test) and blood tests ( IgE assay to latex protein) can confirm the diagnosis if there is any doubt. Please contact your allergist.
